The Way Words Divide

Guantanamo Reveals Weakness In America's Justice System by Chelle Stockman

People are fussing about the Democrats and their fears, the same fears the Republicans experience when they think back to 9/11 and terrorism.

There was so much terrorism before 9/11 and we know that people haven't just got hit with love rays that will cause them to cease their terroist activities. So, many people are behind the representatives who are shaking in their fears of what we will do to those we are holding in Guantanamo. What happens to those people?

They will face prosecution and if there is evidence to imprison them, they will be sent to the pokey--no problem there. So, where is this fear crap coming from?

Apparently, we have an imperfect justice system that often imprisons innocents and for every innocent imprisoned, no less than 10 criminals are set free.

The way I see it, those in fear who fear the closing of Guantanmo are publically sending us this resounding message: You cannot trust the Justice Systems of America!

That's all.

How Wrong I Am At Times

Obama won and as time went on, though my woman didn't win, I do believe that if we would survive the consequences of the Bush Administration's actions,Barack Obama would be our only choice. I'm guessing that the Senate felt this way too. Once Senator Clinton conceded to Senator Obama, I noticed how terrible John McCain looked. I asked myself many times if the GOP couldn't come up with a much better choice like Chuck Hagel. Hagel was miffed at his party and had harsh words regarding their message and their actions on behalf of America. So why did they go with John McCain? Every time I asked that I'd get a peculiar prickling over me. Then Sarah Palin showed up and what a scene that became. I asked myself, does Senator Mc Cain really want to win this election? Okay, so this is where my guessing comes into play.

I now believe that the Senate felt like heels when they surrendered their power over to the Executive Branch. I now believe they planned and staged a coup to take back their power and begin doing for America what they were supposed to be doing all along. I suppose it is better late than never.

Yeah, I'm still nuts and I'm probably wrong, again. Seems like I'm right about all the wrong things anyway.

AOL Guilty of Credit Card Fraud by Chelle Stockman

I've used AOL since 1997 and changed accounts twice, once regarding going solo away from my family's account and then again when I began billing a year in advance. Every year they'd notify me they would be billing my account and I'd approve or make changes.

Since I had my identity sold out of the DMV and then became a victim of credit card fraud, I had closed all but a couple of my credit cards not realizing AOL stores that information in their AOL Wallet. They alert the master screen name which I went on only to delete mail, every few months. They say they sent an email for renewal and perhaps they did, but I did not see it;therefore never opened it to approve the charge.

They don't take my plight seriously and gave me a large amount of trouble when I asked for credit. I changed the type of account I had and their site informed me the changes wouldn't take place until the next billing cycle which in bold for me was June of 2009. Apparently The next billing cycle didn't mean My next billing cycle but Their next billing cycle. To add insult to injury, they billed me again at the lower price and told me I now had two accounts. All my AOL friends and friends on other services began asking me what is going on. Apparently, they'd get two of every email I sent. AOl doesn't allow you to have two accounts under the same master screen name and I pointed this out, but their account executives couldn't see the logic they put forth in their own written materials. This is a lawsuit in the making, if nothing else, for ethical purposes. They still owe me $139.00 and have the audacity to bill me an additional $11.95.

I sent a letter to their legal department and got no answer. I reported them to the FTC and my complaint is filed with hundreds of thousands from others with no action taken.

They have demonstrated to me just how big business does business and they have landed themselves on my list of corporations who are enemies of consumers.

I'm on Yahoo and Google now and though I do purchasing online, I don't do it with a credit card or ever use PayPal. I use only money orders and deal with sites that allow me to do it.

I'm trying to protect my credit identity as well as pay cash for things to help our country. I figure the more credit used, the higher the cost of goods because demand increases and we get charged for that by way of higher costs of goods sold.

Prior to this, I cannot say I ever had a problem with AOL. I blindly trusted them and certainly trusted them to be ethical. I never imagined that they would become otherwise. I don't know what changed in their business structure but it turned a a long-time friend into a foe ruining a treasured business relationship. I'll never do business knowingly again with corporations who have such unethical practices.

I urge any of you using AOL, to remove your credit information from your profile and erase your AOL wallet.

God Bless

Letter to Rachel Maddow by Chelle Stockman

Good Morning, Rachel;

I have a question regarding Senator McCain's ties to the Kemper-Marley crime syndicate. He seems hell bent on bringing up Senator Obama's associates but the fingers seem to point right back to himself, his lovely wife, and her father.

Is it true that Jim Hensley was connected to the Tishes, the Linders, the Rothchildes and Drexel Burnham Lamburt? If so, why is there nothing about it slapping us in the face? Where is that guilt by association John and Sarah are offering up?

It's no secret that Republicans don't vote for people of good character instead opting to vote for characters such as gippers, mavericks, and hammers. With sensible reason tossed out they are casting their votes for winks, the pursing of lips, empty promises and identifiable charm instead which cloaks the high crimes and suspicious suicides ultimately leading to Jim Hensley's involvement. Tell me Senator McCain didn't know this.

Is it also true that Cindy McCain has profited heavily off of the war industry and has money in off shore accounts? What the hell is going on with our nation?

Any response is appreciated.

Laissez Faire Economics by Chelle Stockman

Laissez Faire Economics
By Chelle Stockman

Opinion

We have reached a state of economic fragility; so much for that promise of a broader shared prosperity. Republicans blame Democrats and vice-versa. American voters are growing weary from the political blame game and are considering ejecting them all from our plundered garden, much like God ejected Adam and Eve when they chose to blame others rather than admit that they messed up.

The actions of our representatives over the decades have had far reaching social consequences which began with deregulation and privatization without federal oversight. American voting citizens know their limited voice is tossed into the electoral grog; however, the American consumer has been trained to demand a more expeditious satisfaction. Where it takes a voter years to rid themselves of a representative, it takes a consumer one trip to a different store, a mere change in our shopping habits.

Our representatives know this and fear this above all other things because with their signature they transferred our Representative Democracy to a deregulated Corporate Democracy. To the American voters they for years have shouted the virtues of Market Equilibrium saying, "There are ups and there are downs but the market will always correct itself." Today their cry is but a whimper and the power transferred from the voting citizen to the desperate consumer has been diminished, leaving the multi-national corporations in charge of our liberties.

We should be demanding that our leadership from the Office of the President on down answer this one question. If your market equilibrium assertion that it will correct itself because it always does is true, why on Earth are you demanding that we the citizens bail them out?

Okay, I'm done for now.
